Ueno Pond is located near the center of Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and was renovated around 1648-1655 to create a reservoir and park. The total area of the pond is about 12 hectares.
You can enjoy fireworks events in the summer and illuminations in the winter. The pond is also known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in the spring, as about 1,000 cherry trees and azaleas are planted along the pond. The pond attracts many visitors from outside the city, providing a great place of relaxation for many people.
