One of the three most peculiar bridges in Japan. The bridge is covered in actinidia auguta, or hardy kiwi vine and is located in a secluded area of Okuiya. It is believed that this bridge was created by the powerful ”Heike clan” about 800 years ago for horseback riding training purposes.

During the season when trees are filled with leaves, the bridge looks amazing. Please be careful on your steps when you walk on the bridge - there are gaps between bars.
