Frost covered trees in Mount Takami
Feb.
Takami is a 1249-meter-high mountain located on the border between Matsusaka City in Mie Prefecture and Yoshino District in Nara Prefecture and is also called the "Matterhorn of the Kinki Region" because of its sharp peak. The mountain is a popular place to enjoy nature all year round, with well-maintained mountain trails, fresh greenery in spring and autumn leaves in autumn, but the scenery of ice and fog near the top of the mountain from late December to late February is a different level of mystery.
