More than 1,400 years have passed since the shrine was built, and successive shoguns, including Ieyasu Tokugawa, have contributed to the construction and repair of the shrine buildings and the donation of shrine property.
The deity Ohnamuchi-no-mikoto, also known as "Okuni-sama," is revered in mythology as the kind-hearted god who saved the White Hare of Inaba, and is also revered as the god of good luck, good fortune, and marriage.
Looking peacefully at the four seasons carried by the gods, you can feel the sacred atmosphere as if you can hear the breath of nature. It is also known as a famous place for autumn leaves, where you can enjoy all the seasons as the colors of the leaves deepen day by day.
In recent years, the shrine has become widely known as a "wish-fulfilling shrine," with a sacred tree and a wish-fulfilling pond called Kotomachi on its grounds.
