Jogasaki Coast, located on the east coast of the central Izu Peninsula, is an area of small capes and coves. The coastline was formed by lava that flowed from the eruption of Mount Omuro about 4,000 years ago.
This area is popular as a tourist destination due to the many unique geological features that can only be seen in Jogasaki and the beautiful coastline. Along the coast, there is a 9 km long promenade that includes a picnic path and the Jogasaki Nature Study Path, where you can stroll along the cliffs and enjoy the sea breeze.
There is also a thrilling Kadowaki Suspension Bridge and a lighthouse, where you can fully enjoy the scenery from various angles.
