Shihozashi Sightseeing Tower is an observatory located in Utsukushinohara Highlands on Shodo Island, Kagawa Prefecture. From the observatory, 777 meters above sea level, you can see the Seto Bridge connecting Honshu and Shikoku, as well as the Onaruto Bridge connecting Minami-Awaji City in Hyogo Prefecture and Tokushima Prefecture. This place is a famous spot for greeting a new day with the first lights of the Sun. Utsukushinohara Highlands, where the observatory is located, used to be called "Shihozashi" (meaning "four directions" in Japanese), as there is no obstruction in any directions, and from the old days, people call this panorama "A view of 7 castles, 18 states, hundred islands, and 6 mountains". It is also the only plateau on Shodo Island, where you can enjoy all the sceneries of each season.
