The Nametoko Gorge is a large valley that extends to the Meguro River, a tributary of the Shimanto River, in a corner of Ashizuri Uwakai National Park. The erosion creates a smooth riverbed, featuring a monolithic area and a flat rock, and the Yukiwa Falls, which gracefully slides down the slopes, is an exquisite landscape. It is also designated as one of the "100 Best Waterfalls in Japan".
