May

Tennogawa Park was developed around Maruike, an oval-shaped pond that is a remnant of the Tennogawa River, a tributary of the Saya River that used to flow through the town. The Tenno River flowed through the center of the town until the Edo period (1603-1868), when it became an inlet due to sediment accumulation and eventually became Maruike. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom all around the park. Wisteria is in full bloom around the Golden Week holidays, and water lilies bloom around the Nakanoshima bridge in summer. The changing of the seasons with flowers, greenery, and water is beautiful. They are known as the Eight Views of Tenno River. The "Owari Tsushima Wisteria Festival" is usually held in late April or early May, and the "Owari Tsushima Tenno Festival" in late July.
