Kamogawa enjoying the evening cool floor
During the Edo period, when the dry beds of the Kamogawa River were busy with shows and street vendors, rich businessmen established stands and tea houses here. The area was once restricted during the World War, but it has been restored and applications for a spot are over 100 these days. Held between the beginning of the summer and the fall, they allow visitors to enjoy a meal while feeling the fresh breeze as they sit on the platform placed directly on top of the river bed.
