Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine
Very popular with tourists from overseas! Thousands of torii gates, the symbolic archway to Shinto shrines, have been lined at the entrance of this shrine, with each one was donated by someone whose wish came true thanks to their prayers at this shrine. Even now torii gate donations are very common, and it is said to be more than 10,000 of them now stand in the Mt. Inari area behind the main shrine.
