Constructed in 1252, the Great Buddha is the principal image of the Kotoku-In Temple. The Great Buddha of Kamakura is sometimes referred to as the Great Buddha of Hase, and it stands 13.35m tall. Designated as a national treaure in 1958, visitors can enter inside.
