The Tottori Sand Dunes

This is one of the largest sand dunes in Japan, which extends 2.4 km from north to south and 16 km from east to west. You can enjoy paragliding, sand boarding, camel back riding, sightseeing horse carriages, or visiting the many tourist attractions. It's covered with snow in the winter, as shown in the picture.

Nearest Station/IC Access
Take the local bus to "Tottori Sakyu (sand dunes)" from "JR Tottori station" and get off at "Tottori Sakyu" stop. (Kirin Jishi Loop Bus to the sand dunes operates on weekends and national holidays. )
About 20 minutes drive from the Sayo JCT on the Chugoku Expressway to the Tottori IC on the Tottori Expressway. About 80 minutes drive from Sayo.
