Gassho Village is located at the entrance of Gokayama, in Toyama Prefecture. It is also known as an unexplored region due to its steep mountainous terrain. The traditional Gassho-zukuri (palm-framing structure) and other ancient landscapes and cultures are still carefully preserved.
