Nagaoka Festival Fireworks Display
Aug. Night
This is one of the three largest fireworks festivals of Japan, and it was held for the first time to wish for the recovery of Japan after the air-raids during the Second World War. It is characterized by its large-scale displays unseen at any other fireworks festivals, such as "wide-scale starmine" fireworks shot up at the same time from five different spots, and the "Phoenix"-like lights that rise from the fireworks in a spectacular show of light.
