Wakakusa Yamayaki

Traditional celebration to announce the coming of the spring by burning the whole mountain. About 200 fireworks are set off all at once as a sign to set the grassland on fire. In Japan, fireworks displays are usually held during the summer. This festival is popular as one of the rare events in which fireworks can be seen during the winter.
