This is one of the three great falls in Oku-Nikko, and it falls over the hardened lava remaining from the eruption of Mt. Nantai. It is a powerful mountain stream that falls for a length of 210 meters, from 1,350 meters above sea level. The scenery is especially beautiful in May and June, when rhododendron wadanum blooms.
