Hakusan Shirakawa-Go White Road (formerly Hakusan Super Forest Road)
Aug.
The White Road is a 33-kilometer toll road that runs between Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture and Shirakawa Village, Gifu Prefecture. In the fall, you can drive through the autumn-tinted virgin forests of maple and beech with the magnificent Mt. Haku in the distance. Along the way, stop by at Fukube-no-Otaki where the water cascades off of an 86-meter cliff and creates an impressively loud rumble.
