Shibu Toge Pass
Shibu Toge Pass runs between Mt. Kusatsu-Shirane and Mt. Yokote. From the road, which reaches a maximum altitude of 2,172m above sea level, you can see an amazing panoramic view of Gunma Prefecture's Yoshigahira Wetland. During the fall foliage season, the view of the landscape from the road is fabulously colorful. And if you are lucky, you can see the golden sunrise sparkle on the Unkai (Sea of Clouds) early in the morning.
Hirao, Yamanouchi-machi, Shimotakai, Nagano
During the winter (late November to late April), the Shibu Toge Pass may be closed due to snow.
