Famous as one of the most scenic valleys in Kyoto, the Hozu Valley extends from the area around the Hozu-kyo Bridge in Kameoka City to the Togetsu-kyo Bridge in Arashiyama. Take a Hozu River boat ride or hop on the Sagano Scenic Railway to enjoy in any season the valley's beauty, be it cherry blossoms, bright green leaves, autumn leaves, or snowy landscapes.

    In the autumn leaf-viewing season, the Scenic Railway tracks are illuminated at night. Tickets are extremely popular in this season, so it is best to buy them in advance.
