Canola Flower Field in Yokohama-machi
- 横浜町 菜の花畑
- Aomori
The hills of Yokohama Town have the largest planted area of rapeseed blossoms in Japan, which start to bloom at the beginning of May. The flowers cover the fields for about one month before leaving. A festival is held in these fields on the 3rd Saturday and Sunday in May. Local specialties such as canola blossom donuts, ramen, soft serve ice cream, soap, and cookies are available on sale throughout the year.
