Atomic Bomb Dome
The building was originally built as ”Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall” and it became the Atomic Bomb Dome after the atomic bomb attack on the 6th of August 1945, showing its burnt appearance and remaining frames. It was designated as a World Heritage Site in 1996 as the building is a physical reminder of the destruction caused by nuclear weapons.
