Kaizu Osaki
- 海津大崎
- Shiga & Lake Biwa
Eroded away by the waves, the eastern shore of Kaizu Bay has become a sheer cliff, jutting roughly from the sea. The reef zone around the cliff is called the Gyomu-Kaizu Osaki Rock Reef and is known as one of the Eight Views of Lake Biwa. Even when compared to the other sights of the Biwako Quasi-National Park, it's a notably beautiful spot. The Yoshino Cherry trees that bloom here in spring are also very well-known. The six hundred or so trees, which are fifty years of age and older, present a gorgeous and colorful scene spreading over 4 km through locales like Benten Beach and the temple Ozaki-ji.
