Akagi Nanmen Senbonzakura (Cherry Blossoms at Akagi)
There are over 1,000 Yoshino cherry trees of nearly 60 years old planted along a municipal road over a stretch of 2km, forming a magnificent tunnel when in full bloom. During the cherry blossom festival, there are many stalls selling special products such as folk crafts and agricultural produces. The neighboring Miyagi Senbonzakura no Mori has around 400 cherry trees of 12 different species and 130,000 pink moss flowers, which complement each other beautifully in spring.
