Mount Shiude stands at an elevation of 352 meters near the center of Shonai Peninsula. It has an extensive grass plain on its summit with 500 Yoshino and wild-growing cherry trees. These trees dye the surface of the mountain in a pretty shade of pink come spring. The summit also offers a magnificent view of Seto Inland Sea to the east and west, and the mountains of Shikoku to the south. There is also a hiking trail known as "Shikoku no Michi" (Shikoku Nature Trail) in the area.
