Garyu Park (hidden dragon park) gets its name because the magnificent pine trees on Mount Garyu resemble a sleeping dragon when reflected in the waters of Ryugaike Pond. Chosen as one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots, there are around 600 cherry trees in the park, with some 150 Yoshino cherry trees planted around the pond. The park is also equipped with a zoo and receives many visitors of all ages.
