Yakushi-Ike Park is the hallmark of Machida City and has found its way into many lists, including Japan's Top 100 Historical Parks, 100 Views of Tokyo and List of Scenic Spots in Central Tokyo. The park has a central pond and many seasonal flowers, such as plum trees, camellia flowers, cherry trees, Japanese irises, lotus flowers, fresh greens, and autumn leaves, which allows visitors to enjoy the seasonal colors in all seasons.
