Ashino-Koen Station is a railway station on the Tsugaru Railway Line, and was chosen as one of the Top 100 Stations in Tohoku as "an unmanned station in a tranquil park with cherry and old pine trees". The park around the station has over 2,200 cherry trees and has been chosen as one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots. If you need a break, there is a cafe "Ekisha" located right beside the station platform. Housed in the old station building with the cherry blossoms visible through its windows, the cafe is truly the best place to take a short break.
