Riverbank of Funa River in Asahi Town
There are some 250 Yoshino cherries that line the banks of Funa River for about 800 meters. The cherry blossoms, together with the tulips and rapeseed flowers, paint a stunning picture against the snow-capped Northern Alps in the background when they come into bloom, making this place a symbol of spring in Asahi Town. During the peak season, a cherry blossom festival is held and many stalls are set up in the area.
