Zojo-ji Temple Zojo-ji Temple

Mar.

Founded by Yuyo Shoso, the temple is known for its close association with the Tokugawa Shogunate. It is the resting place of six Tokugawa Shoguns and their wives and concubines, among which are the 2nd Shogun, Hidetada, and his wife, Oeyo; and the 14th Shogun, Iemori, and his wife, Kazunomiya. Truly a haven for history buffs.
