The waterfall, in the town of Engaru, is also known as "Urami-no-taki", or "Backview Falls", because you can look at it from behind. The powerful and majestic waterfall falls from a height of 28 meters. As Yamabiko Falls is one of the few waterfalls facing the east, the place is said to have divine favor and the god Acala is enshrined here.
