A hidden spring nestled in the mountains. There are two onsen ryokans and a guesthouse. Okuyama Ryokan has an indoor bath and two outdoor baths with a great view of the fresh greens in summer and the vivid autumn foliage in fall. The ryokan draws its water for each bath from a different source, both with cloudy water. It is said that a tengu had turned the water cloudy a long time ago because women were too shy to go into the water. The other traditional onsen ryokan is Ogura Ryokan. It is the oldest in Doroyu Onsen and the bath, Gansosan-no-yu, is truly the epitome of hidden springs.
