Rosoku-jima (Candle Island)
Rosoku-jima is a famous sightseeing spot of Dogo-jima and can only be seen from a sightseeing boat. Located to the northwest off the coast of Dogo-jima, the strangely shaped rock is 20 meters tall and looks like a huge lighted candle when the setting sun comes on top of the island. The sightseeing boat offers a close-up view of that romantic scene and you will be overpowered by the elegance of nature. The boat captain will even let you know how to take the best shot.
