Spread over some of the best real estate in the capital, this garden has an area of 58.3 hectares (144.1 acres) with a perimeter of 3.5 km (2.2 miles). Richly-wooded with more than 10,000 trees, the Gyoen skillfully combines a French formal garden, an English landscape garden, and a traditional Japanese garden. Come spring, around 1,300 cherry trees dye the park in shades of floral pink.
