The pond, nicknamed the Swan Lake, is a beautiful pond in Karuizawa. In early summer, the fresh verdure turns the waters green, making a striking contrast with the clear blue sky; in spring, you can see the charming shooting buds; and in autumn, the fall colors are reflected vividly in the waters of the pond. You can find the source of the famous water, Gozen-sui, in the woods around the pond. The pond is not only a great place for cycling; it also depicts the unique Karuizawa landscape throughout the four seasons.
