Yanagawa River Cruising
410 years ago, when Yanagawa Castle was being built, moats were dug to create a castle town. This area is known as the canal town of Yanagawa today. The canals were designed for efficient flood control and irrigation and have been well-preserved by the town. Visitors can join the popular river cruise where the boatman will entertain you with interesting stories as he guides the boat skilfully down the river with a bamboo pole. It is a popular way to spend a relaxing time throughout the four seasons.
