Designated as Yoshino-Kumano National Park, Odaigahara has two major areas: the forested areas of Nishi-Odai, and Higashi-Odai which features several prominent viewpoints like Hidegatake and Daijagura. The area has a high annual rainfall of about 5000 mm and is home to many valuable animals. In the park, you can find the Odaigahara Visitor Center which offers nature educational activities such as the Nature Observation Group.
