May Noon

Yamashita Park is the most popular park in Yokohama and a popular dating spot near Yokohama Port. It was built on the rubbles from the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923 and opened in 1930. The park features a central square with a fountain, a rose garden, a statue of a little girl with red shoes on, a song monument of "seagull sailor man" and many other romantic attractions. The Japanese ocean liner, Hikawa Maru, is also permanently docked here.
