Harbor View Park (Minato-no-Mieru Oka Koen)
The park, which opened in 1962, has a fantastic view of Yokohama Port and Yokohama Bay Bridge located down below. It is named after a hit song released after the war, Minato-no-Mieru Oka, which is loosely translated as "a hill with view of the port". The park sits on the former site of the barracks for British and French troops, and was converted to a park after the war. In the park, you can find the former site of the French Consulate, Osaragi Jiro Memorial Museum, and the British House which was the former residence of British Consulate among others. As there are many rose gardens in the park, it is also one of the more popular places to view roses in Yokohama.
