Sasuke Inari Shrine
- 佐助稲荷神社
- Kamakura
Legends say that an Inari fox, a messenger of the god, appeared to Yoritomo Minamoto in a dream, leading to his success in battle and thus, he had the shrine built to honor the god Inari. In the pathway approaching the shrine, there are over 100 red flags along with dozens of torii gates, which is always a must-see. Little animals like squirrels and wild birds can be seen flitting about, and the relaxing atmosphere makes the shrine an attractive place to visit. It is located very near Zeniarai Benzaiten Ugafuku Shrine; it is good fortune to visit both shrines.
