In Kaminaka station, there is an exhibition hall that tells the history of how marine goods were brought to the capital via Wakasa through the use of the "Saba-kaido" or Mackerel Road. Kumagawa-juku is a post town along the road towards Wakasa, and the area has been selected as an important traditional group of buildings; the landscape is being refurbished for improvement.
