Okawara Plateau
Okawara Plateau

In this area, panoramic views that extend from Onaruto Bridge to the Kii Peninsula can be enjoyed atop Asahigamaru, a mountain with a 1,019m altitude. In the vicinity of the summit, cows can be seen grazing from late April to late September. Around the middle of July, the plateau is painted a pale blue from the blooming of 30,000 hydrangea plants. Also in the summit are windmills, installed to generate power, and have become the symbol of the plateau.
