The field is a hilly area on the northwest of the town of Biei, and the beautiful patchwork-like landscape was the product of the farmwork that was done here. This area is the "Patchwork" area of Biei, and is a popular sightseeing spot. Other classic sightseeing spots are the "Ken and Mary Tree," a poplar tree used in a car commercial; another is the "Seven Star Tree" which appered in a cigarette package.
