This waterfall was selected as one of "Japan's 100 Best Waterfalls." There are 4 stages in all, with a total length of 60 meters and depth of 50 meters. Its appearance as the water splashes down is spectacular and totally worth the visit. Legend has it that a large serpent has made the cave beneath the falls its home. During summer, the rays of the sun light up the waters, and it is a breathtaking sight to behold. In winter, the water becomes frozen, producing natural ice sculptures. A different scenery can be enjoyed every season.
