This observation deck, right at the top of Mount Hachibuse and 433 meters from the ground, is a designated "lookout point" in the prefecture. It is one of the few places where a view of the span of the village in the Tonami plains can be seen. The farm houses, spread about 50-100 meters apart, are encompassed by tree groves known as "kainyo," the only one of its kind in the world, and is good for farm cultivation and fire prevention. The rice fields are beautiful in the day, but even more so at sunset, when the light orange color is reflected in the water. Every season, there is a different scenery that can be enjoyed: the moonlight illuminates the rice paddies at night if water is abundant. In autumn, the cosmos are in full bloom all around the area.
