Usui third bridge
Nicknamed ”Meganebashi (spectacles bridge)”, it is the largest brickwork arch bridge in Japan, at 91 meters in length and 31 meters in height. The bridge was used for a railway line until it was replaced by the Nagano Shinkansen (bullet train) in 1997. The former railway line is now a promenade called ”Aputo-no-Michi (Abt Trail)” which makes this bridge the only National Important Cultural Property which you can walk on.
