Mount Washuzan looms 133 meters above the corner of Seto Inland Sea National Park. Its name derives from the mountain's shape, which is similar to that of an eagle ("washu" in Japanese) spreading its wings. At the top of the mountain, majestic views of Great Seto Bridge, which connects the islands of Honshu and Shikoku, can be seen, as well as small islands around. It looks especially beautiful at night. Mount Washuzan is a famous scenic spot, and has been selected in the "100 Sunsets of Japan."
