One of the Three New Views of Japan, 30,699 pine trees cover the coast of Miho Peninsula for 7km. This natural masterpiece is registered as a mixed cultural and natural World Heritage Site. Sticking out into Suruga Bay, the peninsula offers views of Mount Fuji and the Izu Peninsula, and has inspired many works of art, including ukiyo-e (wood block prints).

Around Miho Matsubara area, there are not only shrine and lighthouse, but also a museum and an aquarium. Rental bicycle is available for JPY 500/ day, so cycling in the area is another way to enjoy the visit.
