One of Japan's 100 Waterfalls, Kiyomizu Falls is upstream along Kiyomizu River with a width of 13 meters and a 75-meter drop. It is famous among Kannon's worshippers and is also called "Tamasudare no Taki" (Precious Stone Screen Waterfall). Many people come to visit the city of Ogi during the summer months, because restaurants would serve their famous koi dishes using fresh fish that came from the waterfalls. In November, the "Kiyomizu Bamboo-Lighting" event is held for a time, and the lights, together with the falls and the red leaves of the autumn trees is a breathtaking sight to behold.
