Raizan Sennyoji Daihioin Temple
Sennyoji is a Shingon Sect temple that was opened in 725 by Saiga. The great hall was built in the 18th century by then clan leader Tsugutaka Kuroda. The wooden thousand-handed Bodhisattva in the main hall and the wooden figure of Saint Seiga are “important cultural assets” in Japan. The large maple tree within the precints of the temple is a “designated natural monument” in Japan.
