Togakushi-kogen Highlands and Lake Kagami(Mirror Pond)
Oct. Early morning
Togakushi-kogen Highlands is widely-known in Japanese mythology as the "Gate of the Celestial Rock Cave" (Awa-no-Iwato). It is believed that the gate flew here and made the area into how it looks today. A variety of trees such as lacquer trees and rowan trees can be found around Lake Kagami, providing visitors with magnificent autumnal colors which reflect perfectly on the surface of the calm waters.
